I - GENERALITIES

Origin
Created in the German Ore Mountains region in 1957, using the Chabo, La Moroseta and LAppenzell with Tuft.

II - TYPE AND ADDRESSES FOR THE SELECTION
Type of country chicken with curled feathers, light, medium height, elegant and with a herringbone tuft.

III - STANDARD
General appearance and characteristics of the breed

1- FORM
Trunk: cylindrical; rounded on the sides; medium long.
Head: medium size with fairly rounded skull and strongly developed forelock.
Beak: strong; arched upper jaw; slightly flared nostrils; horn-colored up to black according to the variety.
Eyes: large and lively; orange to brown iris.
Crest: croissant crest, small, on a small fleshy outgrowth in front of the tuft.
Bargigli: small and of fine texture.
Face: slightly feathered; red.
Mumps: white; slight reddish traces tolerated.
Tuft: well compact ear; it widens a little at the top.
Neck: not too long and slightly arched.
Shoulders: not very evident, concealed by the curled plumage.
Back: medium length, straight and proportionally wide enough. Croup fully fledged.
Wings: medium length, quite wide, relaxed and downward.
Tail: quite vertical and open reach.
Chest: wide and full, well rounded.
Legs: barely visible legs, hidden by soft plumage. Non-feathered tarsi; medium length; horn-colored to bluish, according to the variety. Medium-length fingers, well spread.
Belly: well developed, broad.

Serious faults: body too frail; absence of forelock; curled feathers developed very faintly.

3 - PLUMAGE
Conformation: all the feathers of the body are curled backwards; it is not necessary to be too demanding at the level of the remiges and feathers of the tail.

IV - COLORS

white
Pure white coat, slightly cream-colored in the rooster's cape and rump.
Serious Defects: Strong yellow reflections.

Black
Black coat as intense as possible with slight beetle reflections.
Serious defects: presence of pens of other colors.

White flecked with black
White dominant background color with irregular black flecking; you don't have to be too demanding in terms of color and design.
Serious Defects: opaque plumage, without brilliance.
